The Brief
The Brief
The transformation began with a tired, red-brick home that completely lacked a sense of arrival. With a steep concrete driveway providing the only entrance, the property had no defined front path, gate, or street boundary to guide arrival. The challenge was to re-envision the home’s street presence, resolving a steep lawn slope to establish an approachable, structured entry sequence and functional spaces for a modern family lifestyle.

The Philosophy
The Philosophy
The design works in harmony with the home's architectural transformation from dark brick to crisp white weatherboards. We established a clear boundary narrative using robust stone piers and a timeless white entry gate nestled under mature magnolia trees. Beyond the threshold, the steep incline was broken into a series of travertine steps and pathway that completely separate pedestrian arrival from the driveway. The challenging topography is tamed through a clean, terraced level of soft Zoysia lawn, bordered by a mixed cottage-style planting palette that brings texture and movement to the journey.

An inviting, light-filled first impression that sets a welcoming tone long before you reach the front door. By replacing the old concrete access with a refined, stepped progression, the landscape delivers a perfect balance of coastal freshness and structural longevity—giving this home the proud, functional frontage it deserves.
